Description
Large boulder with an overhanging face and lots of crisp edges. The boulder is heavily shaded and the overhanging section of rock is mostly north-facing with a bit of eastern exposure.
Getting There
From the Donner Summit Canyon trailhead, walk down along the trail and continue straight onto the main Beaver Pond Loop, crossing a nice wooden bridge and bench. At the four way intersection after the bridge, take the leftmost trail, and continue around a bend. Immediately after the bend, you should see a burnt stump on the left. Take another left here. Continue along this trail between the slabs until you reach the boulder. The boulder is closer to the slab on your right, so you will need to stay a bit right when the trail starts to become less obvious and more wooded. The approach only takes 5 minutes but can be a bit hard to find if you don't know what you're looking for. If in doubt, just aim for the GPS coordinates of the boulder.
