Access Issue: Most of the big upper rock formations are on private property Details

Description

This is the area south east of Bariloche that sits above Ruta 40. There is a ton of rock but the best is on private property. Down lower on the north side there is bouldering, a few old routes near the creek, and potential for development.

Getting There

Take a taxi or remise from town to Ruta 40 and get off at the Gaucho Gil. Using Google maps you can see where the trails take you, walk the obvious trails towards the rocks. There is no bus to this area. Don't leave valuables in your car. Maybe don't even leave a car, best to taxi.
