Description Suggest change

A curious slab of east facing dunite on the big escarpment that forms the north side of the Green Creek Valley. Steep and solid relative to the choss that surrounds it. Like it or not this IS the Mythical Bellingham Big Wall.

Getting There Suggest change

A beautiful approach to a very special place. Drive the potholed Middle fork road ~12 miles to the Elbow Lake Trailhead. Possibly find a log crossing of the raging Nooksack River (or possibly not). Hike 1.5 miles of beautiful old growth. Just before a sharp switchback find a climbers path heading up the Green Creek. Fourty minutes up this pass by a spectacular pair of Yellow Cedars, reaching the creek shortly thereafter. Boulder hop upstream 5 minutes to a better crossing. Camping and spring water available on the far side. Mythic Wall should be obvious.
