Description

First off, this area sucks to find, but I've tried to help.
The climbing here is great, with quality, compact limestone and something almost unique to the Frankenjura - high friction! That's right, no polish here. You'll also almost certainly be alone here since the hike in sucks (relatively speaking and compared to the otherwise easy approaches found here in the Frankenjura).

Getting There

From the parking area in Egloffstein East, head across the river and follow the trail to the left until you reach the bench with the sign shown in the pictures. From there, following the directions shown in the pictures, pass the 2nd bench and 20m later the red circle trail to the right. After about 50m follow the red circle left to another bench. Just beyond that the trail forks, but keep following the red circle up the hill. When you reach stairs with a railing, bushwhack over the hill and down through the debris and you'll reach the 2nd lower area. The main wall is just uphill from this.
