Description
Along the rim of oak creek canyon off of Schnebly Hill Rd is a drainage with a handful of worthwhile boulders. The climbs are all found above the road in the drainage just past (towards Sedona) the overlook. Most climbs are north facing and get little sun. The road out to the overlook requires a high clearance car and 4 wheel drive is recommended to get from the overlook to the boulders. Another option would be to park at the overlook and walk down to the drainage.
Getting There
Drive South out of Flagstaff on I-17 towards Phoenix, past Munds Park to an exit for Schnebly Hill. Take the exit and drive west on the dirt road until reaching the overlook. Non 4wheel drive cars should park here and walk. There is a small pull out with a sign for Casner Canyon where the drainage meets the road. Park here and walk up the drainage to the boulders
