Description
Menke Wall is a nearly kilometer long a ban of south facing limestone that cooks in the sunshine and features a spectacular view of the Adriatic Sea and surrounding hillsides. This cliff hosts a hand full of routes ranging from 5b to 7a+ with potential for much more development. The rock is generally technical face climbing on high-quality gray limrstone. While you are only a couple kilometers from town this wall feels secluded and miles away from civilization. The sun exposure makes it a wonderful winter crag on sunny days or a spring fall destination if the clouds are out.
Getting There
Park near the Menke Cemetery and follow a dirt road located 40 meters left of the private driveway up one switch back. Pass through a gate (not the driveway gate) and walk south across a field where the wall will become clearly visible. Continue on a faint footpath to the base of the cliff where you will encounter the first routes.
