Description

Mavrovo Cave is a huge limestone feature that hosts 30 sport routes with grades that range from 5a to 9a+. You can find a little bit of everything here from slab to overhangs and crimps to jugs. The lines are well protected the setting is astounding. Most of the wall enjoys all day shade making a great summer and fall destination.

Getting There

Drive from Mavrovo- Mavrovi Anovi towards Debar for approximately 12 kilometres. Follow the Radika River until you cross a small bridge that will place the river on your left while at the same time revealing a mass of cave on the canyon wall to your right. Park in a large pull out 50m behind the bridge and directly across the road from Mavrovo Cave.

Approach by crossing the road at the the concrete drainage and follow a well-established footpath that turns into a via ferrata when the terrain gets technical. Approach time is approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
