Description Suggest change

The East-facing Swanger Slab is named for local climber Spencer Swanger, who died in 2010 in a fall in the Italian Dolomites. Swanger was the first person to climb Colorado's 100 highest mountains, the Centennials.

The slab has 5 routes, most of which are crumbly and rarely climbed.

Getting There Suggest change

From the Pavilion, hike Red Rock Canyon Trail South past Wiggins Wall until it bends right and becomes the Roundup Trail after 1.3 miles. The obvious base of the slab will be to the right off of Roundup Trail up a bit of a scramble through some bush. The slab is directly right of Crystal Wall.

GPS coordinates are: 38.838764 N / -104.885909 W.
