Description Suggest change

This is a small but nice climbing area above Corbeyrier (near Aigle). The climbing is physical, but reasonably well protected. The climbs are up to 35m long, so a 70m rope is helpful, though many climbs can be done with a 60m rope. The area is a great summer destination since it faces west, so it stays cool when other areas are baking.

Left to right, the climbs are (most are single pitch, though a few are 2 pitches to allow use of a 60m rope with an intermediate anchor):

1) Pas de pic-nic 6b
2) If 6c
3) Libre a toi 6c+
4) Gullenvers chez les lili 6c
5) Pile ou face 6c
6) Grimpez couvert 5c then 6c
7) Punaise 6a+
8) L'arete 7a
9) Rampe de lancement 6b
10) Post scruptum 6a+ then 6b+
11) Pervers devers 7b
12) Soleil couchant 6c then 6c+
13) E pericoloso 6b+

All are quite overhanging in sections, but holds are good. Rock quality is variable.

Getting There Suggest change

From the valley, drive through Corbeyrier and head towards Luan. Just past the restaurant in Corbeyrier (Cafe Restaurant La Diligence), at the vertex of the next hairpin bend, there is a small road then heads down into the forest. There is parking there (though technically it is an agricultural road). Alternatively, park in town and walk the extra 10 minutes. There is a path just past the forest parking clearing that leads down to the rock base... fixed chains allow the final steep descent.
