Description Suggest change

This area consists of an old sandstone quarry with some of the longest routes in Göttingen. The south-facing crag hosts two must do classics from the early 80s (the burly dihedral "Das Physikum" und the flake "... und sie bewegt sich doch"). There are also some long, steep and harder sport climbs, some moderate climbs and even two pitch adventures. Rock quality is from good to sometimes a little "sandy".

Getting There Suggest change

From street L 568 turn north towards Bettenrode and park after ~200 meter. Follow a forest road east for ~600 meter (passing below the crags Wampe and Knubbelwand). At a prominent intersection head up a logging road northeast into the forest. The Hauwand appears on your right after ~ 200 meter.
