Description Suggest change

Area 66 has a handful of short, moderate, sport climbs in a shady side canyon and on an east-facing face. Bob & Carrie Robertson's pamphlet (the source of the route names and FA info I've provided, available at climbingpamphlet.com) splits this into 3 subareas (west to east): Little Light Spire and East Spire in the side canyon, and Sparky, about 100' above the road grade.

Getting There Suggest change

6.6 miles from the end of pavement traveling north on CO 67, on the west side, there is a very short turnoff road at the mouth of the side canyon. East Spire is just past the end of the turnoff on the right, and Little Light Spire is another minute walk up the canyon on the left. A couple hundred feet further north on the CO 67, there is a trail that leads up to Sparky (10-15 minute approach).
