Follow existing trails and climb using removable protection or in climbing areas with existing approved fixed anchors or bolts. Development of any new rock climbing, bouldering or rappelling areas and development of any climbing routes involving the permanent installation of new fixed anchors or new trail construction requires prior Forest Service authorization.

Description

Like most trails in the Red, Rough Trail meanders past a few cliff lines, one of which is home to a short crack (Day's 5.9) 50 feet off the side of the trail.

Getting There

Follow KY-715 to Chimney Top Road. Continue for 1.7 miles to the Rough Trail (#221) parking lot on the left. Take the trail downhill for ~1/2 mile until you see a short finger crack splitting a featured face about 50 feet up and left.
