Description
The West Wall has the highest number of easy to moderate routes, with just a few harder ones thrown in there. All routes are set up with top anchors for ease of rappel and lowering. Setting up a top rope can be a bit of a challenge as most of the routes don’t reach the top of the cliff and are not so obvious to find from the top. There are plans to add access anchors on top to solve this issue, but for now it requires some 4th class scrambling or knowledge in not so ideal anchor setup. As with most of Pigeon Cliff, the majority of routes here take gear. A standard half rack to 3" with a few doubles in finger to off hand size helps on a few routes. The base along the cliff can be overgrown and steep, but I'm sure that will change with time.
