Description

Excellent south-west facing crag with a good range of quality routes. The cliff is the outside face of a natural tunnel through which the road passes. It is very close to the road, but faces the sea, making it seem more isolated than it is.

There are some easier climbs, and a couple caves with long, sheltered, tufa routes that stay dry in the rain. Great views and a comfortable base area.

Getting There

From Trieste, drive the coastal road northwest (towards Venice). Just before the natural tunnel, park on the left. This is a scenic overlook, so it may be crowded, but we never had an issue finding a spot.

From the parking, walk through the tunnel, then hop the guardrail and follow a via ferrata (easy to solo) down to the base of the cliff.
