White Monster Boulder Climbing

The White Monster boulder is a candidate for one of the best single boulders in North Carolina, especially in the V8-V11 range.

Almost every line is an undisputed classic, the rock is outstanding quality, and the movement is excellent. Most lines are steep core/tension style, with lots of open-handed slopers, pinches, and the occasional mail-slot jug. Bring your bicycle and heel-toe game; almost every line on the boulder has an opportunity for trick beta!

Classics include Twister, Earning Your Brunch, and White Monster. That being said, don't discount any of the link-ups or "squeezes"; virtually every climb on this boulder is absolutely stellar.

This boulder never sees the sun and can be damp after a rain. Temps tend to start dropping around 1:30/2pm.

It's generally a good idea to have a crew at this block; to be climbed safely, most lines require multiple pads and spotters.
