DNR wants to pass on a friendly reminder to display your Discover Pass, not block any gates, and park well off the road to prevent getting ticketed or towed. Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition continue to partner with DNR on stewardship and management of the Gold Bar Boulders and their access sites. Description
As the name suggests, Central Forest is the area in between the East and West Forest. The area is well-shaded, making it a good place to climb in the summer or take a nice nap. Worthy classics include Doja (V7), Fern Crack (V3), and Crackulation (V1). The Central Forest is also home to a nice collection of high balls such as Chaac (V5), Worry Stone (V4), and the very intimidating Gorilla's Nest (V8).
Getting There
Follow the directions to either the West Forest or East Forest areas. If coming from the West Forest, start at the Beam Me Up Boulder and follow the trail that runs along the edge of the forest east until you reach Doja. If coming from the East Forest, start at the Warm Up Boulders and follow the trail that runs along the edge of the forest west until you reach Doja.
