Access Issue: Working Timberland Details
April 19, 2017: Weekday access to the Gold Bar boulders has now reopened following a temporary closure to ensure public safety during harvest activities associated with the Dyno timber sale. In partnership with Access Fund and Washington Climbers Coalition, DNR preserved access to much of the road network hikers and climbers use to access the Gold Bar boulders. If the start on the hand match is a little too easy, do a sit start with your left hand on the arete and your right hand on a sloping side pull (where an obvious flake broke off). This totally adds to the Kirby experience.
Located about 30 meters west of Dojo. Go west from eastern parking area about 120 meters and head up about 2 minutes.
