Description

Fun boulder with some of the smoothest rock in the buttermilks.

The main landing areas on either side are somewhat steep. Spotter recommended.

Getting There

From the Biker Boulders, continue west on the Buttermilk Trail for about 1 minute. Take the short trail (about 20 feet) downhill to the top of the Fence Boulder.

Alternative route: park on Southcliff, cross riverside, hop the fence and scramble down a small but steepish incline, and you are there. Shorter but it’s a little annoying carrying gear over the fence and down the hill.
