Description
This north-facing wall has fewer crowds because of the approach but it's worth every step to get there. Nearly thirty routes of stellar quality on immaculate limestone awaits. Most of the climbs have an extension so bring your long rope and a backpack full of quickdraws. Sustained routes on vertical to slightly overhanging walls full of pockets is the name of the game.
Getting There
Park at the cemetery on the northeast side of Leonidio. Continue to walk up the dirt road until you reach a field of olive trees. Namaste will appear on your left with a trail marked by red dots and cairns leading to this cliff. Follow the trail uphill turning right after a 2 meter tall, long man-made stone wall. Continue along the base of the east facing cliff. Scramble up a fixed line and traverse beneath sector Mars and Phobos, continue around the corner to a massive north-facing cliff. 30 min walk.
It's also possible to drive to the top of the cliff and do a much shorter approach. (there's a little 4th class at the beginning) The waypoint is on google maps.
