Description

A long drive up a dirt road through the Sierras will lead you to 'Friendship Rock', just before the final 4x4-required ascent to Shuteye Peak. There are no fees, restrictions, or crowds. The bouldering in this area doesn't seem to be fleshed out, so we were just exploring when we came across a fun warm-up boulder we called Wall Street.

Getting There

4x4 isn't required until after this area, so any vehicle should be able to make it, although it gets bumpy sometimes. Just before the advanced 4x4 required leg of the road, there is a small open area to park cars, a large open fire pit, and a rock painted as 'Friendship Rock'.

From Friend Rock, walk into the bushes along the west, and down through a small gap in the rock, and you'll be in the shade on the north side of Wall Street.
