Description

Hidden crag with excellent variety of routes

Getting There

From Berry Hollow trailhead, hike the Berry Hollow Fire Road to the Saddle Trail toward Byrds Nest shelter. From the trail about 80 vertical feet below the major switchback (about 2600') before the shelter, cut right off-trail to the southwest about 1,000 feet toward the crest of a slight ridge (ending about 200 vertical feet uphill, about 2740'). Eventually, 10-15 minutes off-trail, you will intersect the overhung face of Charlatan. About 1 hour total approach from trailhead. Map location here is approximate, I lost my GPS coordinates.
