Description Suggest change

Out-of-the-way but worthwhile Old Rag crag named for the large obvious snag against the wall. Room for more routes.

Getting There Suggest change

First follow these directions to Brian's Wall:

From Weakley Hollow (the main Park Service entrance), hike the Ridge Trail. After dropping into the prominent notch after the first rocky section of the trail, turn left (southeast) and walk (no trail) down the gully about 500 feet (10-15 minutes). This access is easiest in the fall through early spring. On your right as you walk down is a series of small rock boulders and cliffs. Brian's Wall is a steep north-facing wall at the lower end of these cliffs (elevation 2,327').

From Brian's Wall, traverse south and descend 80-100 feet through broken rocky terrain with deadfall, about 5-10 minutes. Note that map location is approximate--I lost the exact GPS coordinate I had taken. Refer to photo to identify location of Snag Wall from Ridge Trail.
