Description
Secluded. Rock quality varies, boulders are few and far between, and are generally not that tall unless you venture up towards the cliff bands. The scenery can’t be beat, though.
Getting There
For Slide Lake Bouldering, either take the Slide Lake Connector Trail from a turnoff about 1.5 miles before hitting Strawberry Campground, or hike from Strawberry Campground past Strawberry Lake up to Slide Lake. Little Slide Lake is about 0.1 miles past Slide Lake proper, and the boulders are scattered around the uphill side.
Most Boulders are on the bulging rock outcrop on the southern side of Little Slide Lake, while one obvious boulder sits within sight of Little Slide Lake’s one campsite fire pit on the western side. Go explore!
