Description
St Helen’s Island bouldering has many boulder problems ranging from V0 to V5. Landings are flat with very few rocks. The site has few natural features making it sometimes hard to find the ‘’obvious’’ lines. Therefore, some boulder problems were imagined while avoiding certain holds or with sit starts to increase their difficulty. It can sometimes be hard to know if the boulder problem is being climbed as it was imagined or rated. Something seemingly too easy could indicate the wrong start or the use of holds that are off. Thus, do not stay fixated on grades or what is allowed (or not). Climb what looks nice and have fun while doing it!
