This cliff is under the liability insurance of the Fédération Québécoise de la Montagne et de l'Escalade (FQME).
Residents of Canada need to have:
-FQME 'Accès Montagne' membership (55$)
-For members of the Alpine Club of Canada an FQME 'Accès Montagne' upgrade (30$)
Or purchasing a 10$ day pass.
This money is used to pay the liability insurance for landowners regardless if they are private citizens, municipal or provincial.
The maintenance of cliffs and their access, replacing of fixed protection.

Description
The Parc Jean-Drapeau’s climbing wall is located near the Pont Jacques-Cartier on the St Helen’s Island in Montreal. With wall heights ranging from 3 to 12 meters it can accommodate bouldering and top-roping enthusiasts. With over a dozen safe and easy to access fixed anchors, it is the perfect place to get introduced to outdoor climbing and to practice the various rope manoeuvres required in rock climbing.
The site is open from April 15th to November 30th from 6AM to 9PM and is affiliated with the FQME. Therefore, to climb here, one must be an FQME member. If you are not a member, a daily pass (10$) can be bought on their website.

La paroi d’escalade du Parc Jean-Drapeau se trouve tout près du pont Jacques-Cartier sur l’Île Ste-Hélène. Le site contient des parois rocheuses allant de 3 à 12 mètres de hauteur pouvant accueillir les adeptes du bloc et de la moulinette. Avec plus d’une douzaine de relais fixes qui sont faciles d’accès et sécuritaires, ce site est idéal pour s’initier à l’escalade de rocher et pratiquer les différentes manœuvres de cordes.
Le site est ouvert du 15 avril au 30 novembre de 6h à 21h et est affilié à la FQME. Il faut donc être membre pour pouvoir y grimper. Si vous n’êtes pas membre de la fédération, vous pouvez acheter une adhésion journalière (10$) sur leur site web.

Getting There
The wall is located at the P13 parking lot and requires no approach. The parking fees are of 8$ for an hour, 15$ for two hours, or 30$ for the day (more info at parcjeandrapeau.com/en/park…). It is also possible to get there using public transit as it is located near the entrance of La Ronde amusement parc. Easy access by bike too!

Le site requiert aucune approche si on se stationne au stationnement P13 qui est situé au pied de la paroi. Les frais de stationnement peuvent être payé à l’horodateur et sont de 8$ pour 1h, 15$ pour 2h, ou 30$ pour la journée pendant la saison de La Ronde (consulter parcjeandrapeau.com/fr/stat…). Il est aussi possible de s’y rendre par transport en commun. Le site se trouve tout près de l’entrée de La Ronde. Accès facile en vélo également!
