Description Suggest change

The three peaks of Mt Index tower above the nearby town and are a fixture of the scenic backdrop when climbing at the Index crags. Although they are less regularly visited by the many who come this way to climb excellent dry granite, these peaks offer a dozen routes and feature the nearly 2000ft big wall climbs of the Norwegian Buttresses, which have seen a handful of difficult and cutting edge ascents. Many of the more moderate and accessible routes offer poor rock quality and make for better winter climbing when snow conditions are stable.

Getting There Suggest change

Access depends on the exact route. Most approaches will start at the trail head to Lake Serene.
