Description Suggest change

Beautiful multi-pitch slab area in the valley south of Airolo. Long, 700 meter routes that can take all day but aren't committing, and have a pleasant approach to boot. Located outside the town of Freggio, this slab is sun-drenched and can be hot in the summer, but is especially nice when there are cool temps elsewhere. The locals made a lot of effort to bolt some wandering lines that can also be supplemented or replaced with trad gear if that's your preference.

Getting There Suggest change

From the A2, follow exit at Quinto (southbound) or Faido (northbound). Follow signs to Freggio. Park in the small lot just outside the town's church, and next to the cemetery.

Walk through town (you'll find a fountain to fill water to your right), then follow the white / red markers for the bergwanderweg. Once in the forest, take a marked path on your right (marked with yellow blazes and cairns). Eventually you'll hit a dry streambed that goes up to the base of the climbs, that are marked with paint.
