Description

One of the best climbing spots in Brazil. Endless Inselbergs (Granite islands) spread along the semi-arid land. High quality rock. The weather is dry, sunny and windy. Sometimes it can rain, but the rock gets dry pretty quick. Best season: Whole year.
All kinds of routes, Sport, Trad, Multipitch, etc.

Getting There

Itatim is located 200km (125 miles) from Salvador. Get a flight to Salvador (SSA), then the metro to the bus terminal, and a bus to Itatim. Or you can rent a car and drive towards Itatim.
The best place to stay is at the climbers hostel (Abrigo de Montanha de Itatim), just a few meters from the Morro da Toca Inselberg. Camping or rooms.
