Description
This northern area of Greece is most famously known for Meteora but has a number of high quality limestone sport climbing crags as well. Many of these areas are an hour or so drive from Meterora and provide a sweet respite from the run out mental vert climbing that area is known for. Expect steep, athletic, modern climbing from 5.9 to 5.14a.
Getting There
You can fly into Thessaloniki and then drive to Meteora or you can drive the four hours up from Athens. You might consider staying in Trikala or a number of small towns near Pyli and Mouzaki but none have the tourist infrastructure of Meteora so it likely makes sense to be based there.
