Could reach ou…: the Horsetooth Reservoir Park Ranger informed us that there are no legal climbing routes anywhere around Inlet Bay, it is illegal to be off trail, boulder, or climb. Was told area residents reported us, and they will be ticketing all climbers or hikers.

Description

There are a few nice boulders on the north side of inlet bay across from the marina. The problems are limited but quality. This area gets sun almost all day and is a great winter area to climb. PLEASE DO NOT CLIMB HERE IF IT HAS RECENTLY RAINED/SNOWED. The rock is very soft sandstone, and holds will be fragile when wet. Allow for a full 24 hours after rain for rock to dry, or 24 hours after snows have fully melted.

Getting There

Park at Soderberg Trailhead, cross the street, walk along the dry lake bed, and the boulders will be directly in front of you on the hillside. Keep right of the houses, as that is private property. Check the pictures for location of a cairned trail up to the boulders.
