Description
Larger concentration of climbs with several walls of differing styles. There is now a West Face and an East Face that has been developed. Some really great routes; the lower angle stuff will be predictably dirty. Some of the rock is still cleaning up, so be alert and wear a helmet.
Getting There
Access via the back righthand side trailhead at the parking lot. Follow signs and the Inner Loop Trail past Mt. Patterson. Continue on the main trail as it veers slightly around to the left. Most of the Buzzards Roost crags will then be accessed via well-marked (orange ribbon tied to trees) on the steep slope on the right.
Alternatively you can take the trailhead that is straight up the parking lot behind the kiosk (Pine Mesa Trail) and look for a sign after about 100 feet pointing you to the right (Start of the Inner Loop Trail). This second approach has the advantage of being roughly the same distance but with less elevation gain.
