Description
Lower Eagle is the sizable formation located just off the road to the south as you enter the upper Afantinzar valley, directly across the road from Ksar Rock and the village of Annamer. All routes on the Lower Eagle are north-facing.
Getting There
Park on the road outside of Annamer and follow well-cairned trails leading south towards the face - the approach to the left side of the crag should be made prior to reaching the toe of the buttress if you want to avoid 'schwacking through heavy vegetation. There are better trails through terraced trees closer to Ksar rock. The approach to the right side of the crag can be made off the descent trail from the top of the buttress.
All climbs topping out on Lower Eagle descend off the west via a very well cairned trail. Avoid the descending skier's right too early as there are some areas that cliff out before you reach the valley floor (following the cairns will help you avoid this).
