Description

Wonderwall is the formation just north of Stone Temple. It has a prominent grey slab on the left side and has steeper chert climbing on the right side. On the far right is a prominent tall pillar.

There is a nice selection of mostly 5.10 climbs here that include both routes on the technical thin grey limestone and routes on steeper chert knobs.

Caution! There is a 50 foot water groove between Stone Temple and Wonderwall. The top of the groove has a river of fist sized stones just above the lip that cut loose randomly. There is significant debris field at the base of the water groove. Don't belay or leave your packs on or near the debris field.

Getting There

From the parking, follow the established trail and after a couple hundred yards, take a right at the trail junction. After few long switchbacks, X-Crack Crag is the first formation. Pass the X-Crag and when the trail reaches the base of Stone Temple make a sharp right on a short trail that leads north to Wonderwall.
