Description Suggest change

A couple of climbs down off the rim, north of the other established crags. There are a couple of other older routes up on the rim that look cool. I always see Zone-tail hawks here, thus the name.

Two climbs on the main buttress and others on the descent to get there. There's a lot of choss around, but the actual buttress is pretty solid, and has some room for more routes.

Getting There Suggest change

From the main trail, right after the trail starts to drop down towards the saddle and then the big drop into the main wall areas, take the cairned left turn. Head out towards the rim following scattered, occasionally dishonest cairns. At the rim, head left about 50 yards. Drop down a gully by a cairn. There is scree and down climbing but not too bad overall. You should pass the little tower on your right after about 50 yards, and SSMM on the left after that. the buttress is downhill and right from SSMM. From the rim, not all that far (perhaps 100 yards), but kind of involved.
