Description [Suggest Change]

Stone Temple is the large steep crag and it's summit is the high point of the area. It is easily identified from parking lot as the large face with a prominent horizontal overlap about in the middle. It has large pillar over a steep gully on the right edge.

Currently there are three excellent routes. See the beta photo and descriptions for route info.

Getting There [Suggest Change]

The easiest way to approach Stone Temple is from the established trail that leaves the parking lot and contours along the hillside. Before the trail takes off to the south crossing a small rocky gully, take a dogleg to the right (currently marked w/pink surveyors tape) and follow the marked trail up the hillside taking long traverses upward. The trail goes to the south side of X-Crack rock and then zig-zags upwards until you come to a short staircase splitting a small fin. Go up and through the staircase traversing again until you access the north end of Stone Temple. Take the trail up the front side of Stone Temple until you reach the top of the grade, from this vantage point you can see the routes on Stone Temple and Sea of Joy.
This is a newly developed trail, much easier than the original trail going up to the south for access to Stone Temple and Sea of Joy areas!
