Description Suggest change

Liberator Ridge is the west-most of the three ridges that form the Gully of Higher Education Area. At present, all known routes are on the west face. The lower part of Liberator Ridge is made up of unstable, dark shale bands, but just a bit higher is a hundred foot stretch of some of the best, bullet-hard quartzite in BCC. This is the locale for all currently reported routes.

Getting There Suggest change

The approach is ugly. Thrash up through the trees and steep scree on the left side of the ridge for about 400 feet. The trees thin out as you get closer to the routes, but the walking still ain’t fun. Fifteen or so minutes to the base of the climbs.
