Getting There Suggest change

Most routes are approached by first descending to the Argentiere glacier from the top station of the Grands Montets lift (and often by way of the Eefuge d'Argentiere hut).

Then descent is to the lift station at Lognan. Sometimes (especially if the Grands Montets lift is not operating due to weather) the approach is also from the Lognan station. Or if that lift is not operating, from the village of Argentiere.
