Description Suggest change

Large outcropping of rocks 8-15ft high. Sharp granite, but like most other boulders in this area, heavily overgrown with wet moss and lichen. As much rock as there is here, very few possess the size and shape to be classified as decent boulders. Ground conditions make dozens of crack climbs too sketchy to climb without a fleet of pads. However, the area is worth a look for the creative climber. Mark and Shirley Spencer's
"Southern Yosemite Rock Climbs" dedicates a few pages to fifteen or so climbs in this location.

Getting There Suggest change

These rocks are blatantly obvious as you turn onto Chilnualna Falls Road (countless boulders on the left just before the white SNRS buildings and the Pioneer History Center).
