DescriptionWith abundant limestone veined with quartz and crystal blue waters, Croatia has an innumerable amount of DWS spots. One of the oldest is Sustipan located near the city (and Diocletian's Palace) just steps from the ACI Marina with numerous companies offering adventure boat tours to hit up more of Dalmatia's DWS spots.
Sustipan is great because it's easily accessible without a boat and the lines are varied, overhung and plentiful. Just be careful swimming out/back, swimming against the current will be enough to pump you.
The local guide is great and covers various other DWS spots in Dalmatia, including this one. You can purchase it online (dalmatiaclimbing.com/index.…) and proceeds go to help maintain the area and cultivate psicobloc in Croatia.
Getting ThereFly into Trogir Airport Split and either take a taxi or the Promet Split 37 (Trogir - Split, goes to Split, the inverse goes back to the airport) bus on the main road outside the airport grounds. The 37 bus goes to the Local Bus Station then you'll have to take a city bus (7, 8, 12, or 21) to ACI Split Marina or Sustipan.
Once there take a walk through Sustipan park overlooking the harbor above the routes. Follow the paths northwest out of the park and down a semi-gated path to what looks like a hotel pool (Jadran). Walk in and stick to the left and you'll reach a public swimming spot/beach where you can swim out east to the DWS spots below the park overlook. The beach area also has a public shower to rinse off when done.
