Description Suggest change

Bouldering area up above the train track on the New River. 70+ established problems. Largest quantity in the V3 to V5 range, and then quite a few hard lines up to V14 as well. Approach time is 15-30 minutes.

Train tracks are private property. Walking or riding on any railroad right of way or other railroad property without the permission of the railroad is trespassing and illegal. Violators will be prosecuted, and they risk the possibility of serious, even fatal, injury.

Lower Fern Creek Suggest change

Be aware that walking on CSX train tracks is illegal and climbers have been ticketed for doing this.

Boulders and waterfalls continue all the way up this steep, beautiful drainage.  There is also a nice circuit at upper Fern Creek, which you can approach from the Fern Point ladders at Endless Wall.

This is a complex area to navigate, and it is highly recommended you bring a guidebook to find the classic problems here.
