Description
Beautiful gorge with opportunities for both bouldering and larger cliffs for roped climbing. Lots of opportunities for first ascents.
The rock is a conglomerate, which is well featured but not particularly well cemented together. Climbs are not well traveled and you can expect loosely adhered pebbles to pop-off. The landings around the boulders are relatively flat and easy to protect with a crash pad.
This is probably the best and most accessible climbing area in the vicinity of Port Moresby, but is by no means a world class destination.
