Description
One of the historical sport climbing sites around Trento, Celva is facing south and while trees provide shadow in summer, the sun might be warm enough to climb even during winter. Currently the spot offers three sectors with around 70 routes in mostly solid limestone. They range from 4c to 8c, the majority being between 5c to 6c.
Getting There
From Trento you take the street up to Povo, following the indications to passo Cimirlo. Arriving in the village look out for the indication to "Forte Sella di Roncogno" an Austro-Hungarian Fortress from 19th/20th Century. Park the car, walk back 20m and follow the small trail right hand side between two houses. Walk another 200m, reaching the steel railing on the left start ascending until you reach the spot.
