Access Issue: On Government Property - Naval Base Details

You must have a military ID to access this area, or at least have a friend with an ID that can get you on base.

Description

West facing rock, sunny in the evening. Some good granite. Dirty, but easy routes. Lots of potential for all sorts of climbing. Try not to draw attention to yourself as base security might not have an issue with you climbing, just be nice and they probably won't have an issue.
Routes can be set up with toprope or trad.

Getting There

From I-95 take Exit 86 towards Submarine Base Groton (North on 12), then you're gonna take a left on Crystal Lake Rd. Enter the base from the main entrance at the end of this road (NOTE: a military ID is required). Once on base take military highway and then take a right on scorpion ave. Go up the hill and park in the parking lot next to Rock lake.
