Description
Often if its raining in Valdez you can head over Thompson Pass and find a blue hole here. Years ago a few routes were put up but recently some new bolts have showen up. Moderate grades with a short approach. Watch out for some loose rock but the routes are sound.
The area is primarily divided into two walls an upper and lower.

Getting There
Drive to approximately 43 mile on the Richardson Highway. Look for an old turn out that is a "drive through". It will be on the left hand side if you are leaving Valdez. Park in the turn out and look for an obvious trail to lookers left as you look at the climbing area.
Use this trail to access the upper and lower crags. Hiking directly to the lower crag is loose. It's best to follow the trail and then traverse over to the base of the lower wall.
