Description Suggest change

The Ueschenen valley lies above Kandersteg and has a couple long cliffbands of Limestone mostly around 200m+ in height as well as some single pitch routes. Classic beautiful Swiss alps!

Guidebooks: Plasir West, Extreme West, SAC Kletterfuhrer Berner Oberland

Getting There Suggest change

Drive to Kandersteg (from the north) and continue south past town (there's only one road) and the cable car to a T intersection. Go right to get on Ueschenenstrasse which switchbacks up into the valley. You also need to pay a toll to get on Ueschenenstrasse - about 8CHF I think. Once in the valley there are several small parking spots - if you park near a farmhouse try to make sure the residents are OK with it. They generally are.

Approaches can be 15min-40min depending on the route and exactly where you park.
