Description
This is a cute little crag off the beaten path sitting East of Arco, up in the hills above Rovereto. It has a fair number of moderate routes under 7a (<5.11d), some nice flat areas for kids, stairs up along the cliffs and a relatively short approach
Getting There
If you have a GPS - set the destination as Serrada / Folgaria and drive there. If not look at a map. Here is the best description if on the fly: Exit the freeway at Rovereto Sud exit and drive towards Rovereto. After 1.5 km turn right into the center of town. At the second round about turn right towards Trento SS12 and take the left hand lane.Pass three sets of lights. then enter a large round about near the train station and turn right following signs for Centro and SP 2 Serrada-Folgaria. Take the SP2 Serrada-Folgaria road uphill through many small communities for about 19 km. After passing the sign "Magnifica Comunita di Folgaria" there will be a resturaunt Cogola at the curve. Park 50 yards further on in a lot on the right or you can park just before in another lot. Walk up the road (via San Rocco) and as soon as it turns left veer onto the smaller track behind the Ristorante Cogola. the path then drops down into the woods over a large valley in front of you. Wrap around the path for 5 minutes to the obvious crag.
