Getting There
Park 100yds before gate and walk through gate onto Boulder Loop Trail for 20 minutes. Continue south on the road to its end at a huge wash. Cross it and walkdirectly to the Altar. If you walked upstream you could access North Boulder Loop trail.
After crossing the wash and walking a few minutes, you reach the first steep rise in the trail. You can see the Altar to the left a couple hundred yards away. Descend to bottom of drainage and turn left in a southerly direction towards crag. Cairns mark the initially meandering path. Aim for the left side of crag. Final portion of hike steepens on slabs.
