Description
The Madawaska Valley lies about 3.5 hours northeast of Toronto and contains a lot of quality ice climbing.
Getting There
About 3.5 hours northeast of Toronto. Pass through Bancroft, Maynooth, and continue through Combermere. The climbing is around this area.
There is a climber's hostel located in Maynooth that is pretty close to the climbing and is a nice place to stay. When I stayed there it seemed to be pretty much exclusively ice climbers. There are a handful of rooms, a bar downstairs, a kitchen room, and a TV room with a pretty wide selection of movies. All information can be found on their website: thearlington.ca/
