Description
At the parking lot of the "Naturtheater" in Renningen just a little west of Stuttgart is the only local bouldering. It consists of two perpendicular walls from a former quarry.
Standing in the parking lot, the wall you face (parallel-ish from the road) can be quite chossy and the one on the right is mostly fine.
There are two semi official routes, basically the upper traverse and lower traverse. You follow a finger crack either R to L or the other way around and you'll be feeling pretty pumped pretty quickly! Hence, it's good practice for finger pockets, crimps and underclings.
It's surrounded by woods and has some grass around so it could be a nice place to throw down a picnic blanket and grill and hang out with friends or family. Yes, it's kid/family friendly too. But the options are limited and this is only someplace you'd go because it's nearby and all you've got. It's not a destination in itself.

Getting There
From Renningen take the B295 towards Leonberg and watch for the "Naturtheater" signs which you should follow. Turn off the hiway onto a small road going uphill. You'll pass a "Schuetzenverein" on the right and then see a Parkplatz sign. Just past the sign on the right is the boulderig area. You can park pretty much whereever
