Description

Chiquito Dome is a large dome facing south, with routes up to 500 long.Route from 5.7 to 5.13, great dome with fun routes.

Getting There

From North Fork take minarets road "225" drive 45 mins, if you pass Soda Springs camp ground you have gone too far, 1/4 mile before Soda Springs camp ground is a small very short dirt road on the west side of the road that is where the climbers trail starts, hike up hill for 20 mins to base to the dome.

There is no longer a 100 yard road; it has been cluttered and posted with a sign prohibiting vehicle traffic. Just hike the 100 yards up the faint gully/old road to the huge pines, looking for a faint trail on the right. Trail becomes more distinct as you continue. Jun 10, 2018

Yes the forest service did that this winter, since no one camps there anyway and it's only a few yards from the climbers trail up to the dome did not really see a need on posting all that, but thanks for the up date. Jun 10, 2018
